What to know about Aptos
Aptos is a Move-based layer-1 that came out of Meta's Diem project. It executes transactions in parallel with the Block-STM engine and reaches finality in under a second. Accounts on Aptos are created automatically when they first receive APT through the standard transfer function, so a fresh address from Petra can receive a payout straight away. An Aptos address is 0x followed by 64 hexadecimal characters — the same shape as a Sui address, although the two chains are completely separate. Gas is paid in APT and is usually a small fraction of a cent. The provider pays out APT on the Aptos network; a CAKE version on Aptos also exists, but APT itself has one network.
