What a confirmation is
A transaction has one confirmation when it is included in a block, two when one more block is built on top, and so on. Each extra block makes it harder to reverse the transaction by reorganising the chain, so services that pay out irreversibly โ swaps and exchanges โ wait for enough blocks to treat the deposit as final.
Fast chains need many blocks but little time: 60 BNB Smart Chain blocks take under a minute. Slow chains need few blocks and a lot of time: two Bitcoin blocks average twenty minutes. That is why the count alone tells you little and the wait column matters more.
approximate wait โ confirmations ร average block timeHow to read the table
- Confirmations: a single number, or a range such as 6โ60. A range means the provider can ask for more confirmations on some deposits; the exact number for your order is on the order page.
- โ wait: confirmations multiplied by the network's average block time. Bitcoin blocks vary a lot around the 10-minute average, so treat Bitcoin times as a rough guide.
- Memo / tag: networks where a deposit must carry a memo, destination tag or comment. If it is listed, a deposit without it cannot be matched automatically.
- Deposit / payout: whether the network is open for sending to us and for receiving from us at the snapshot date.
Waiting longer than expected?
Check the transaction in a block explorer first. If it has zero confirmations, the network fee was probably too low for the current demand โ on Bitcoin, Replace-By-Fee can raise it. If it has many confirmations but the order has not moved, the order page shows the provider's own counter, which can lag the explorer by a block or two. When in doubt, contact support with the order link and the transaction hash; never send the same payment a second time.
Frequently asked questions
+How many confirmations does Bitcoin need?
Our provider uses 1โ2 confirmations for BTC deposits, which usually means 10โ20 minutes, longer if blocks are slow or your fee was low.
+How many confirmations for USDT?
It depends on the network: 20 on TRON (about a minute), 6โ64 on Ethereum, 60 on BNB Smart Chain, 200 on Solana slots. Check the table for the network you use.
+Why does Litecoin or Dogecoin need more confirmations than Bitcoin?
Their blocks come faster (2.5 minutes and 1 minute), so each block represents less work. Providers compensate with a higher count.
+Is this data live?
It is a snapshot of the provider's network list taken on the date shown. Requirements rarely change; the order page always shows the current number.
+Does the confirmation count affect the fee?
No. It only affects how long the deposit takes to be credited.
