VeChainThor runs on two tokens. VET is the value token you hold and swap; VTHO is generated automatically by holding VET and is what pays for transactions. Blocks come every 10 seconds, and addresses use the familiar 0x format. The two-token design is the thing to keep in mind when you swap: a wallet that holds only VET still needs some VTHO to send it, unless the app you use sponsors the fee through VeChain's fee delegation. VeChain is used mostly for supply-chain and enterprise data, so its wallets are less common than Ethereum's — VeWorld and Sync2 are the native options.

Emptying a wallet of VTHO before moving VET out. Without VTHO or a fee delegator the transfer cannot be paid for.
Treating a VeChain 0x address as an Ethereum address. It is the same format but a different chain; Ethereum wallets do not show VET.
