What do you actually want to obtain?
- A VET balance
- The exchange instruction concerns receiving VET for the selected USDT payment. Verify the supported receiving network, current quote and actual destination. A successful payout establishes a token receipt, not every other action you might later take with those tokens.
- A staking position
- Participation through the current staking system is a separate activity. Receiving VET does not show that you minted a staking position, delegated it or met the current conditions for rewards. Do not infer those events from the exchange completion screen.
- VTHO for network use
- VTHO and VET have different roles. Buying VET is not the same transaction as receiving a requested VTHO amount. If network fuel is your actual requirement, establish that requirement independently rather than relying on an old daily-generation calculator.
Why the age of a rewards explanation matters
VeChainโs post-Hayabusa material describes staking-linked VTHO issuance, replacing the earlier fixed holding-based model. Its current Stargate FAQ explains participation through staking and delegation. An older article about passive wallet holdings can therefore describe a different model from the one relevant to a new decision.
Keep a sourceโs publication date and the model it describes attached to any calculation. This page gives no annual return, daily VTHO rate or forecast of a future balance. Even a correctly completed VET exchange does not validate somebody elseโs rewards spreadsheet. Treat a claim about expected staking output as a separate question requiring current terms.
Separate the records before drawing conclusions
| Record you can inspect | Question it answers | Question it does not answer |
|---|---|---|
| USDT funding transaction | Which payment was sent for the order? | Was a VET staking position created? |
| VET payout transaction | Did the intended receiving account get VET? | Is that account earning a specified reward? |
| A staking or delegation record | What separate participation state is recorded? | Was the exchange quote a reward guarantee? |
| A VTHO balance or reward record | What VTHO is actually recorded at that point? | Will the same amount arise in every future period? |
Review your plan before starting an order
- State the immediate purpose
Write down whether you need a spendable VET balance, a later staking decision or a particular amount of VTHO. These are different tasks. A single purchase amount does not prove that all of them will be achieved.
- Discard calculations built on an obsolete model
If your plan relies on passive generation from every wallet-held VET, check the cited rule against current official documentation. Do not repair an outdated assumption by substituting a new guessed percentage. Preserve uncertainty rather than publishing a false forecast.
- Keep the exchange boundary explicit
Use the current form for the selected pair and receiving network. Read limits and the payable amount when ready. Any independent staking action remains outside this exchange workflow and should be understood on its own terms before committing funds or signing anything.
- Check the actual receipt rather than a projected return
After a payout, reconcile the destination and VET amount with the order. If something is missing, report that specific exchange issue with its reference. Do not use the absence of a future VTHO reward as proof that the VET payment failed.
Questions about VET receipt and staking
- Does receiving VET activate staking?
- A token receipt does not establish a separate staking or delegation position. Check any independent participation through its own records.
- Can I rely on an old fixed daily VTHO formula?
- Not without checking its model against current rules. Post-Hayabusa materials describe staking-linked issuance rather than the former fixed holding-based model.
- Does a completed exchange promise a future reward?
- No reward forecast follows from a VET payout. Reconcile the exchange receipt separately from any later participation and its terms.
