What to know about BNB
BNB is the gas coin of BNB Smart Chain, an EVM network with blocks well under a second apart after its 2025 upgrades. The older BNB Beacon Chain, where BNB used bnb1… addresses and BEP2 memos, was shut down in 2024, so today a BNB address is simply a 0x address on BSC. BNB is also used on opBNB, a separate layer-2 network; the provider lists it, but for payouts the network that matters is the one marked open in the table. Because BSC copies Ethereum's address format, the most common BNB problem is not a typo but a network mix-up: a 0x address will accept funds from Ethereum, Arbitrum or BSC equally, and the wallet shows them on different networks.

Yes. “BEP20” is how wallets and exchanges label the BNB Smart Chain network; native BNB on BSC uses an ordinary 0x address.
Can I receive BNB on Ethereum?
