Swap USDT to Litecoin (LTC)
Exchange USDT for Litecoin and receive LTC in your own wallet within minutes. Litecoin blocks come every 2.5 minutes and transfers cost a fraction of a cent, which is why LTC is often used as a transport coin.
Which USDT network to send from
USDT exists on several blockchains. The network fee is always paid in the network's native coin (TRX, ETH, BNB or SOL), never in USDT itself. The rule that matters: the network must match what the wallet or service on the other side supports.
| Network | Address | Gas | Speed | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| TRC20 TRON | starts with T (34 characters) | paid in TRX via Energy/Bandwidth — a wallet with zero TRX usually cannot send USDT at all | 3-second blocks | receiving on most CEX and P2P desks; the default USDT rail in many regions |
| ERC20 Ethereum | 0x… (42 characters) | paid in ETH; the most expensive option when the network is busy | 12-second blocks | DeFi on Ethereum, hardware-wallet cold storage, large amounts |
| BEP20 BNB Smart Chain | 0x… — identical format to ERC20 | paid in BNB; usually low | sub-second to ~1-second blocks | wallets that already hold BNB for gas, BSC DeFi |
| SOL Solana (SPL token) | base58, 32–44 characters | paid in SOL; fractions of a cent, but the wallet needs a little SOL | ~0.4-second slots | cheap frequent transfers if you already use Phantom/Solflare |
Exact fees move with network load — the widget always shows the current amount you will receive.
USDT to LTC: what matters
Litecoin is one of the cheapest ways to move value between wallets, so USDT to LTC is often a 'transport' swap: someone accepts LTC, or a wallet only supports Bitcoin-style coins. The payout is fast on the Litecoin side — blocks every 2.5 minutes, fees of a fraction of a cent. Just remember that the moment the swap completes you hold a volatile coin instead of dollars; if the goal is to pay someone, pay soon.
USDT is a centrally issued token: Tether can freeze addresses on request of law enforcement. That is a property of USDT itself, not of the exchange you use.
Four times faster blocks than Bitcoin with similar UTXO mechanics — LTC is a common 'cheap rail' for moving value.
Tether vs Litecoin: the networks side by side
| USDT | LTC | |
|---|---|---|
| Network | multi-chain stablecoin issued by Tether | Litecoin mainnet (proof of work, Scrypt) |
| Blocks / confirmation | depends on the network you pick | about 2.5 minutes per block |
| Address format | depends on the network you pick | ltc1… (SegWit), M… or legacy L… |
| Network fee | always paid in the network's native coin (TRX, ETH, BNB or SOL), never in USDT itself | low; a fraction of a cent to a few cents |
| Memo / tag | not used | not needed to receive |
| Wallets | Trust Wallet, TronLink (TRC20), MetaMask (ERC20/BEP20), Phantom (SOL) | Litecoin Core, Electrum-LTC, Trust Wallet, Exodus, Ledger |
How to swap USDT to LTC, step by step
- 1
Select USDT → LTC in the widget and enter the amount. It shows the current minimum, the LTC you will receive and the rate type (1% float or 1.5% fixed) before anything is sent.
- 2
Pick the network your USDT is on (TRC20, ERC20, BEP20, SOL). You must send from that exact network, and gas is paid in its native coin.
- 3
Paste your LTC address — ltc1… (SegWit), M… or legacy L…. Copy it from your wallet (Litecoin Core, Electrum-LTC, Trust Wallet, Exodus, Ledger) and compare the first and last characters.
- 4
Create the order and send exactly the shown amount of USDT to the deposit address. Bookmark the order link — it shows the live status.
- 5
Wait for confirmations: depends on the network you pick. The liquidity provider sets how many are required; the order page shows the live count.
- 6
LTC is sent to your address automatically. On the receiving side: about 2.5 minutes per block. The transaction hash appears on the order page.
Common USDT → LTC mistakes
ERC20 and BEP20 addresses look identical (0x…). If the receiving service only supports one of them, funds sent on the other network may be lost or require a paid manual recovery.
Your wallet needs the native coin for gas: TRX on TRON, ETH on Ethereum, BNB on BSC, SOL on Solana.
Check the contract: real USDT on TRON is TR7NHqjeKQxGTCi8q8ZY4pL8otSzgjLj6t, on Ethereum 0xdAC17F958D2ee523a2206206994597C13D831ec7. Fake 'USDT' tokens airdropped to wallets are worthless.
Send a regular transaction, not from an MWEB (ltcmweb1…) private balance — peg-outs from MWEB can be delayed.
Old 3… P2SH addresses were re-mapped to M… years ago; if your wallet shows a 3… LTC address, update the wallet.
KOT.CASH vs a centralised exchange for USDT → LTC
| KOT.CASH | Centralised exchange | |
|---|---|---|
| Account & KYC | No sign-up; no ID documents for standard swaps | Account required; regulated exchanges must verify identity |
| Steps | One order: send USDT, receive LTC at your own address | Deposit USDT → wait for credit → trade → request LTC withdrawal |
| Custody | Funds pass through the service only for the swap | Funds sit in the exchange account until you withdraw |
| Withdrawal | Automatic once the deposit is confirmed | Withdrawal fee; limits, holds or extra checks are possible |
| Cost | 1% float or 1.5% fixed + network fees; final amount shown upfront | Trading fee, spread and withdrawal fee — vary by exchange and volume |
| Where a CEX is better | No fiat, limit orders or margin — crypto-to-crypto swaps only | Fiat on/off-ramp, limit orders, very large volumes |
This compares how the processes work, not any specific exchange. Exchange tariffs change — check them on the platform itself.
USDT to LTC: questions people ask
Can I use LTC to pay with MWEB privacy?
MWEB is an optional Litecoin extension supported by some wallets. The swap pays to a regular Litecoin address; moving funds into MWEB is done in your wallet afterwards.
How much does it cost to send the LTC on?
Usually a fraction of a cent per transaction, because Litecoin blocks are rarely full. The wallet shows the exact fee before you send.
How long do USDT confirmations take?
Depends on the network you pick. The liquidity provider decides how many confirmations are required; the order page shows the live count.
Which Litecoin address types work?
ltc1… (SegWit), L… (legacy) and M… (P2SH). Avoid old 3… P2SH addresses unless your wallet shows them for Litecoin specifically.
Why use LTC instead of keeping USDT?
Usually to pay someone who accepts LTC or to move value cheaply between wallets. LTC is volatile — unlike USDT, its dollar value changes.
How fast is the LTC payout?
It is broadcast as soon as your USDT deposit is confirmed; the first Litecoin confirmation takes about 2.5 minutes on average.

USDT and LTC networks: confirmations and memo
Built from the liquidity provider's network list as of 2026-10-20. "Confirmations" is how many blocks the provider waits for before crediting a deposit; the order page shows the exact number for your order. If the memo column names a tag, a deposit without it cannot be matched automatically.
