How the conversion is calculated
Both coins are priced in US dollars, and the cross rate is one price divided by the other. That is how almost every converter works, because most coins do not trade directly against each other โ there is no deep DOGE/ADA order book, but both trade against the dollar. The result is the mid-market value: what the amount is worth before anyone takes a fee.
A real swap gives you slightly less. The service fee (1% on the float rate, 1.5% on the fixed rate at KOT.CASH) and the network fee for sending you the coin come off the top. The "after 1%" figure removes the service fee; the network fee depends on the payout chain and is shown in the exchange widget.

Converter price vs swap quote
- The converter shows a market price. It does not reserve anything and is not an offer.
- The exchange widget asks the liquidity provider for a quote for your exact amount and network, and shows the minimum and the amount you will receive.
- On the float rate the final amount can move a little while your deposit confirms; the fixed rate locks the amount for the payment window at a 1.5% fee.
- Very small amounts can be below the current minimum for a pair, even when the converter happily shows a value.
Why prices differ between sites
Price aggregators average many exchanges and update at different intervals, so two converters can disagree by a fraction of a percent. For thinly traded coins the gap can be larger. If the exact number matters, compare the amount you receive โ after all fees โ rather than the headline price.

No. It is the market value. A swap deducts the service fee (1% float or 1.5% fixed) and the payout network fee; the widget shows the exact amount.
+Can I convert to dollars or euros?
The converter shows the US dollar value of every amount. KOT.CASH does not exchange crypto for fiat money.
+Why is a small amount below the minimum?
Each pair has a minimum set by the provider and network costs. Below it the network fee would take most of the amount, so the order cannot be created.
+Does the converter send my data anywhere?
It only requests the two coins' prices from the KOT.CASH price endpoint. The amount you type stays in your browser.
