What to know about Dogecoin
Dogecoin is a proof-of-work coin derived from Litecoin's code, merge-mined with Litecoin since 2014. A block arrives about once a minute and pays a fixed 10,000 DOGE, so supply grows by roughly five billion coins a year with no cap. Fees are low but not zero: wallets add a fee per kilobyte of transaction data, so a transfer that spends hundreds of small inputs left over from tips and faucets costs noticeably more. Native addresses start with D (multisig ones with A or 9). The provider also lists a BEP20 Dogecoin token on BNB Smart Chain, which is a wrapped version, not DOGE on its own chain; for most swaps the right network is DOGE.

DOGE mistakes that cost money
Sending Binance-Peg DOGE (BEP20) from an exchange to a native DOGE deposit address. They are different chains, and a 0x token transfer cannot reach a D… address.
Wallets full of tiny inputs. A transfer that consolidates thousands of small amounts can hit size limits or a high fee; send from a wallet with fewer, larger inputs.
Waiting for a 'fixed' supply to make DOGE scarce. It is inflationary by design, which is worth knowing if you swap into it to hold.
