To buy Kaspa with USDC, send USDC from Ethereum, BNB Smart Chain, Solana or another supported network to a USDC โ KAS order and receive KAS at a kaspa: address. The swap widget does it without an account. On 21 October 2026 the minimum was 30.01 USDC on each of the three networks we checked, and the KAS payout fee was 5 KAS โ about $0.19 at a Kaspa price near $0.037. Where the networks differ is how long the deposit takes and what the send costs you.
Which USDC network to send from
Use the network where your USDC already is. Moving it to another network first only adds a fee. If you are withdrawing from an exchange and can choose, pick the one with the lowest withdrawal fee; the swap itself costs the same.
| You send | Deposit confirmations | โ wait | Gas you pay to send |
|---|---|---|---|
| USDC on Ethereum (ERC20) | 6 | โ 1.2 min | ETH, often $0.5โ3 for a token transfer |
| USDC on BNB Chain (BEP20) | 60 | โ 1 min | BNB, a few cents |
| USDC on Solana | 200 | โ 1.5 min | SOL, a fraction of a cent |
On Ethereum the gas for a token transfer is the biggest variable: at quiet times it is well under a dollar, during busy periods several dollars. The gas fee calculator turns the current gwei into dollars. On BNB Chain and Solana the send cost is negligible for any amount above the minimum.
The Kaspa address
Kaspa addresses carry a readable prefix: kaspa:qโฆ for standard addresses, kaspa:pโฆ for script addresses. The prefix is part of the address; some wallets display it, some hide it, and the swap form accepts the full form. Copy it from a Kaspa wallet such as Kaspium (mobile), KasWare (browser extension), the Kaspa NG wallet or a hardware wallet with Kaspa support. An address starting with kaspatest: belongs to the test network โ never use it for real coins.
Amounts
At $0.0375 per KAS, 100 USDC buys roughly 2,640 KAS after the 1% float fee and the 5 KAS payout fee, and 1,000 USDC around 26,400 KAS. The payout fee is about 0.6% at the minimum and becomes irrelevant above that. Kaspa's price moves quickly; read the quote in the widget rather than our numbers.
Step by step
- In the widget pick USDC on the network you hold and KAS to receive. Enter the amount.
- Paste your
kaspa:address and create the order. - Send USDC on the selected network to the deposit address shown. Keep a little ETH, BNB or SOL for the gas of this transfer.
- Wait for the deposit confirmations listed above; the order page updates on its own.
- KAS is sent to your address. Kaspa produces 10 blocks per second since the Crescendo upgrade of 2025, so the payout appears in your wallet within seconds of being broadcast.
The provider gave 1โ2 minutes as the typical processing time for USDC โ KAS. Combined with the deposit wait, most orders complete within five minutes.
What to know about holding KAS
- Kaspa is a proof-of-work coin with a blockDAG: blocks are produced in parallel and ordered by the GHOSTDAG protocol, which is why it can run at 10 blocks per second.
- There is no staking. Holding KAS in your wallet earns nothing and locks nothing.
- When you later sell KAS through a swap, the provider waits for 1,000 confirmations on the deposit. At 10 blocks per second that is about 100 seconds; the KAS to USDT guide explains why the number is so high.
- Kaspa wallets use a 12- or 24-word seed phrase like other coins. Store it offline; a wallet app on your phone is not a backup.
If you hold USDT rather than USDC
The same route exists from USDT; the minimums and the 5 KAS payout fee are similar. There is no reason to convert USDT to USDC first just to buy Kaspa โ each extra swap costs another service fee. Pick whichever stablecoin you already have, on the network where it already sits.
Where people lose KAS
- Old wallets after the Crescendo upgrade. Wallet software that was not updated for the 2025 hard fork can show wrong balances or fail to send. Update before you receive.
- Copying a partial address. Some screens truncate long kaspa: addresses in the middle. Use the copy button, not a screenshot or manual selection.
- Test-network wallets. Developer builds default to testnet; a kaspatest: address is useless for mainnet coins.
One more practical point: Kaspa has no smart-contract tokens on the base layer in the way Ethereum has ERC-20, so a KAS wallet holds just KAS. Anything presented to you as a 'Kaspa token' lives on a separate protocol and is not what this swap pays out.
FAQ
What is the minimum to buy KAS with USDC?
30.01 USDC on Ethereum, BNB Chain and Solana on 21 October 2026. The widget shows the current minimum.
Which USDC network is fastest?
All three confirm in one to two minutes. BNB Chain and Solana are cheaper to send from than Ethereum.
What does a Kaspa address look like?
It starts with kaspa:q (or kaspa:p for scripts). Addresses starting with kaspatest: are for the test network.
How much is the KAS payout fee?
5 KAS, about $0.19 at the time of writing, already included in the quote.
Can I receive KAS to an exchange?
Yes, Kaspa deposits need no memo. Use the KAS deposit address from your exchange account.
