What to know about Hedera
Hedera is a public network governed by a council of large companies and run on the hashgraph consensus algorithm, which reaches finality in a few seconds without blocks in the usual sense. Accounts are identified by a numeric ID in the form 0.0.123456, and fees are set in US dollars and charged in HBAR, so a simple transfer costs a small fixed fraction of a cent. Exchanges and swap services that share one account between users tell deposits apart by memo, and the provider asks for a memo on HBAR deposits. Hedera accounts can also have an EVM alias that looks like a 0x address; for payouts use the 0.0.x account ID that HashPack or Kabila shows.
