What to know about AltLayer
AltLayer’s restaking documentation identifies ALT as the supported ERC-20 asset and reALT as a share token. Its walkthrough also introduces stALT between the original stake and the restaked representation. Those labels describe different stages, rather than alternate names that an exchange must accept interchangeably. If your funds are in the restaking interface, identify the representation and current withdrawal state before creating a transfer. The project describes conversion back, a cooldown and a later redemption as separate actions. Beginning that sequence does not prove that ALT has returned to your wallet. For an exchange requesting ALT, check the actual redeemed token balance and the selected network, instead of using a portfolio total that still represents a protocol position.

Are ALT and reALT the same asset for a deposit?
The official parameters distinguish the supported ALT token from the reALT share token. A route requesting ALT does not establish support for the share representation. Inspect the actual wallet asset before initiating a transfer.
Does conversion back to stALT complete withdrawal?
The unstaking guide describes conversion, cooldown and redemption as separate steps. Check the state of the particular position and confirm the resulting wallet receipt. A conversion confirmation alone is not evidence that transferable ALT has been returned.
Should I use the restaking portfolio amount as my exchange amount?
First identify what that figure counts. The interface can show a stake and its status, while the exchange needs a token transfer from available wallet funds. Use the actual ALT balance after the required redemption process, rather than a pending position total.
