What to know about Arbitrum
ARB is the governance token of Arbitrum One, the largest optimistic rollup on Ethereum, and of the Arbitrum DAO that controls its treasury and upgrades. It does not pay gas: transactions on Arbitrum are paid in ETH, so a wallet holding only ARB cannot move it. An ERC20 copy of ARB also exists on Ethereum mainnet, but the provider currently accepts ARB only on Arbitrum One, as the table shows. Arbitrum blocks are a quarter of a second, so the provider counts many of them before crediting; the range in the table works out to minutes rather than hours for most deposits.
