Swapping USDT TRC20 to Bitcoin without verification takes one order: you enter your own BTC address, send USDT on Tron to the deposit address and receive BTC in your wallet, usually within half an hour. KOT.CASH needs no account for this — create the order on the USDT to BTC page or in the simple swap widget. This guide covers where people usually lose time or money: the network, the minimum, the rate type, confirmations and what to do when something goes wrong.

TRC20 vs ERC20 vs BEP20

USDT is the same Tether dollar on several blockchains, and each of them is a separate network with its own addresses and fees. The rule for a swap is simple: send USDT on exactly the network you picked in the order. The widget accepts USDT on TRC20, ERC20, BEP20, Solana, TON and several other networks, but each order gets a deposit address for one network only.

TRC20 (Tron)T…, 34 charactersTRX (energy and bandwidth)20
ERC20 (Ethereum)0x…, 42 charactersETH (gas)6 to 64
BEP20 (BNB Smart Chain)0x…, 42 charactersBNB (gas)60
Solanabase58, 32–44 charactersSOL200
TONUQ… / EQ… + memoTON1

TRC20 is popular because Tron produces a block about every three seconds and transfers are cheap. Cheap is not free, though: a USDT transfer on Tron consumes energy, and without staked energy the wallet burns TRX, so keep some TRX in the wallet. The USDT TRC20 fee calculator estimates the cost of your transfer.

How not to send USDT on the wrong network

TRC20 is well protected against this mistake: a Tron address starts with T, and Ethereum or BNB Smart Chain will refuse it before sending. The risky case is between networks with 0x… addresses — ERC20, BEP20, Arbitrum, Polygon — where a transfer on the wrong one goes through.

  1. Pick USDT (TRC20) in the widget if that is where your USDT sits.
  2. Check the deposit address in the order: a TRC20 address starts with T.
  3. When withdrawing from an exchange, choose TRC20 or TRON (TRC20) in the network list.
  4. Compare at least the first and last characters of every pasted address — clipboard malware swaps them.
  5. USDT TRC20 needs no memo. USDT on TON does: if the order shows a memo, include it.

Step by step on KOT.CASH

  1. Copy a receiving address from your Bitcoin wallet.
  2. Open USDT to BTC, choose USDT (TRC20) to send and BTC to receive.
  3. Enter the amount — the widget shows the BTC you get after all fees and the current minimum.
  4. Choose a floating or fixed rate (if fixed is offered for this amount).
  5. Paste the BTC address, accept the terms and create the order.
  6. Send the exact USDT amount to the Tron deposit address from your wallet or an exchange.
  7. Keep the order page link: it shows the deposit, confirmations, payout and both transaction hashes.

Minimum and fees

The minimum follows network fees and changes during the day, so the widget is the place to check it. The BTC amount you receive already includes the service fee (1% floating, 1.5% fixed) and the Bitcoin payout fee — a fixed BTC amount that weighs heavily on small swaps; see how to buy Bitcoin with USDT for a table by amount. Your own sending cost (TRX for energy or the exchange's withdrawal fee) is on your side. If the exchange deducts its fee from the withdrawal, add it so the deposit matches the order amount.

Fixed or floating rate

Floating costs 1% and follows the market until the swap is executed, so the result can move slightly either way. Fixed costs 1.5% and locks the BTC amount while you pay. For small amounts and some routes only floating is available — the fixed switch is simply not shown.

Timing and confirmations

The provider waits for 20 Tron confirmations — about a minute at three-second blocks. Then BTC is sent, and a Bitcoin block arrives every 10 minutes on average. In total the swap usually takes 10–30 minutes. An order waits one hour for the deposit; do not pay an expired order, create a new one.

Wrong network, amount or memo

Do not resend anything and do not open a second order for the same funds. Find the transaction hash in Tronscan, Etherscan or BscScan and contact support (site chat, Telegram or support@kot.cash) with the order number, hash, network and amount. Whether a wrong-network deposit can be recovered depends on the liquidity provider and the network; it is never promised in advance. More in sent crypto to the wrong network.

No KYC and AML checks

A standard swap needs no account and no documents. Under our AML policy transactions are risk-scored, and depending on the risk the service may request identity and source-of-funds information; the liquidity provider can hold a transaction its checks flag. Tether can also freeze USDT on a specific address, which is rare but worth knowing.

FAQ

Do I need an account or KYC to swap USDT TRC20 to BTC?

No. A standard swap needs only your BTC address. Under the AML policy extra information may be requested if a transaction is flagged as risky.

What is the minimum?

It follows current network fees and is shown in the widget when you enter an amount.

How long does it take?

Usually 10–30 minutes: about a minute for 20 Tron confirmations, then processing and the Bitcoin confirmation.

Can I send USDT on ERC20 or BEP20 instead?

Yes, but select that network in the widget before creating the order. The deposit address belongs to one network.

Fixed or floating?

Floating is cheaper (1% vs 1.5%) but the BTC amount can move slightly; fixed locks it while you pay. Small amounts are floating only.
