Buy BTC with USDT without an account: the 9.3 USDT minimum, why the flat 0.000057 BTC payout fee makes small buys expensive, and real numbers per amount.

Bar chart of the total cost of buying Bitcoin with USDT: 24.5% on 20 USDT, 10.4% on 50, 5.7% on 100, 1.9% on 500 and 1.5% on 1,000 USDT.

To buy Bitcoin with USDT, create an order on the USDT to BTC page, send USDT (TRC20, ERC20, BEP20 or another listed network) and receive BTC at an address in your own wallet. The minimum is about 9.3 USDT, but the number that decides whether a purchase makes sense is the Bitcoin payout fee: the provider currently deducts about 0.000057 BTC โ€” roughly $4.70 with BTC near $82,600. On $1,000 that is half a percent. On $20 it is almost a quarter of the money.

What a purchase really costs, by amount

Two costs come out of every order: the service fee (1% floating, 1.5% fixed) and the payout network fee. The first scales with the amount; the second is flat. The table shows both at today's prices for a floating-rate order.

The payout fee follows the Bitcoin mempool: when blocks are full it rises, when they are empty it falls. The widget always quotes the BTC you will receive with the current fee included, so compare quotes by that number. The satoshi converter is handy for reading these small amounts โ€” 0.000542 BTC is 54,200 sats.

If you buy small amounts regularly

Buying $25 of Bitcoin every week through separate orders pays the flat payout fee every week. Two ways around it: buy less often with larger amounts (monthly instead of weekly), or accumulate USDT and convert it when the amount is big enough that the fee falls under 1โ€“2%. The minimum transfer calculator works out the smallest purchase for a fee share you are comfortable with.

Which Bitcoin address to give

Any address from your own wallet works: native SegWit (bc1qโ€ฆ), Taproot (bc1pโ€ฆ), nested SegWit (3โ€ฆ) or legacy (1โ€ฆ). For small, frequent purchases the address type matters for later: spending a native SegWit input costs about 68 vbytes, a Taproot input about 58, a legacy input 148. If you will someday consolidate many small purchases, receiving to bc1q or bc1p saves real money then. The Bitcoin fee calculator shows the difference for your numbers.

Use a fresh receive address each time if your wallet offers it โ€” Electrum, Sparrow, BlueWallet and hardware wallets do. It does not change the fee but keeps your purchases from being linked to each other at a glance on a block explorer.

Step by step

  1. Copy a receive address from your Bitcoin wallet.
  2. In the widget, choose USDT and the network you hold it on, choose BTC to receive, and type the amount. Check the BTC figure, not just the rate.
  3. Pick floating or fixed. A fixed rate locks the BTC amount; floating is cheaper and follows the market until the deposit confirms.
  4. Create the order and send exactly the shown USDT amount on the selected network.
  5. The provider waits for the deposit confirmations (20 on TRON โ€” about a minute), processes the swap and sends BTC. The payout hash appears on the order page.
  6. Your wallet shows the BTC as unconfirmed until the next block โ€” on average ten minutes, sometimes faster, sometimes half an hour.

Swap or exchange for buying BTC?

On a centralised exchange the route is: deposit USDT, buy BTC on the BTC/USDT market, withdraw BTC. The trading fee is often 0.1% or less, but the account requires identity verification and the BTC withdrawal carries its own flat fee, which on many exchanges is in the same range as the swap's payout fee or higher. For amounts above a few thousand dollars an exchange is usually cheaper; for one-off purchases of a few hundred dollars the difference is small and the swap saves the account setup.

Whichever you use, the coins are only yours once they are on an address you control. Leaving BTC on an exchange account is a separate decision with its own risks โ€” see moving crypto from an exchange to self-custody.

Timing

With a TRC20 deposit, the USDT side and processing take a few minutes. The BTC payout then waits for a block. Because blocks arrive randomly, 63% of the time the next one comes within ten minutes and 95% of the time within thirty. A typical order from send to first confirmation is 10โ€“30 minutes.
