To swap SOL to ETH you do not need a bridge, wrapped tokens or two wallets on the same app: send native SOL from Phantom, Solflare or any Solana wallet to a swap order and receive native ETH on Ethereum mainnet at your 0x address. On KOT.CASH that is the SOL to ETH page; the widget quotes the ETH amount before you send, and a standard swap needs no account. The reverse direction has its own guide โ ETH to SOL โ because the pitfalls are different.
Swap or bridge: what is the difference
A bridge locks or burns your SOL on Solana and gives you a representation of it on Ethereum, or moves a token such as USDC between chains. That is useful when you want the same asset on another chain. When you want a different asset โ ETH instead of SOL โ a bridge only gets you halfway, and you still need a trade on the other side. A swap does both in one step: SOL goes out, ETH comes in, and there is no wrapped token to unwind later.
The trade-off is custody during the swap: for the few minutes of processing, the swap service holds your deposit. With a bridge you rely on the bridge's contracts instead. Neither route is free of risk; the swap route is simpler for most people.
How much ETH you get for SOL
With SOL at about $105 and ETH at about $2,400, 1 SOL is roughly 0.044 ETH and 10 SOL roughly 0.44 ETH. The quote in the widget includes the 1% float-rate fee and the Ethereum payout fee. Ethereum gas varies, so the payout fee is a larger share of very small swaps โ one reason the minimum exists. For the current numbers use the table on the pair page or the crypto converter.
| You send | โ ETH at market | โ after 1% |
|---|---|---|
| 1 SOL | 0.044 ETH | 0.0433 ETH |
| 5 SOL | 0.219 ETH | 0.2166 ETH |
| 10 SOL | 0.4375 ETH | 0.4331 ETH |
| 50 SOL | 2.19 ETH | 2.166 ETH |
Before you send SOL from Phantom
- Rent-exempt balance. Solana accounts keep a small minimum balance, and token accounts in the same wallet depend on it. Phantom will not let you send absolutely everything; send slightly less than the full balance.
- Staked SOL. Deactivate the stake first. It becomes withdrawable at the end of the current epoch, which can take up to about two days.
- Liquid staking tokens. mSOL, jitoSOL and similar are tokens, not SOL. Swap them to SOL inside your wallet first, or check whether the widget lists them separately.
- Exact amount. Copy the amount from the order page. Solana deposits do not use a memo for this pair.
Receiving ETH: mainnet, not an L2
The ETH arrives on Ethereum mainnet. The same 0x address exists on Arbitrum, Base, Optimism and other L2 networks, and MetaMask shows whichever network you selected last โ which is the most common reason people think their ETH has not arrived. Switch the wallet to Ethereum to see it. If you actually need ETH on an L2, either receive on mainnet and bridge, or check whether the widget offers ETH on that network directly; the provider lists several ETH networks, each with its own confirmation rules.
You do not need ETH to receive ETH. You will need some ETH left in the wallet later to pay gas for any ERC20 tokens you hold; the gas fee calculator estimates how much.
Step by step and timing
- Open SOL to ETH, enter the SOL amount and check the ETH you will receive.
- Paste your Ethereum address (0xโฆ, 42 characters) and compare the first and last characters.
- Create the order and send the exact SOL amount from your Solana wallet.
- The provider waits for 200 Solana slots โ at about 0.4 seconds each, under two minutes.
- ETH is sent to Ethereum mainnet. Blocks come every 12 seconds; the hash is on the order page.
End to end, SOL to ETH usually takes 5โ15 minutes, most of it provider processing. The deposit confirmations lookup shows the requirement for every network if you plan a different route.
Fees on both sides
Sending SOL costs a base fee of 5,000 lamports per signature (0.000005 SOL) plus an optional priority fee that wallets set automatically โ fractions of a cent in normal conditions. The ETH payout fee is part of the quote: on 20 October 2026 the provider's figure for SOL to ETH was 0.0003 ETH, about $0.70, with a minimum deposit of 0.026 SOL. The service fee is 1% on the float rate or 1.5% fixed.
If you later move the ETH or tokens on Ethereum, gas is the cost to watch. A plain ETH transfer uses 21,000 gas, an ERC20 transfer roughly three times as much; at a few gwei that is cents, during busy hours dollars. The gas fee calculator converts gas and gwei into ETH and USD so you can keep the right reserve.
When SOL to USDT makes more sense
If you are leaving Solana to stop price exposure rather than to buy Ethereum, SOL to USDT pays a stablecoin and lets you choose the network โ TRC20, ERC20, BEP20 or Solana itself. If you are moving into Ethereum DeFi, SOL to ETH is the shorter path, because you need ETH for gas there anyway.
Standard swaps do not ask for documents. The liquidity provider performs AML checks and can, in some cases, ask about the source of funds before completing an order.
FAQ
Do I need a bridge to move SOL to Ethereum?
Not if you want ETH. A swap sends SOL out and pays native ETH on Ethereum mainnet in one order.
How much ETH is 1 SOL?
About 0.044 ETH at $105 per SOL and $2,400 per ETH, before fees. The pair page shows the live rate.
Why doesn't my ETH show in MetaMask?
MetaMask is probably on another network. The ETH is on Ethereum mainnet; switch the network to Ethereum.
Can I send staked SOL?
Deactivate it first; it becomes available at the end of the epoch, up to about two days.
How long does SOL to ETH take?
Usually 5โ15 minutes: about two minutes of Solana confirmations, processing, then Ethereum's 12-second blocks.
