Is BTC → XMR available
Yes. XMR pairs on KOT.CASH run through a separate liquidity provider, which means: floating rate only (no fixed rate), simple swap only (Monero is not available in split swap or multi-hop), and availability shown live in the widget — if XMR is missing from the list, the direction is closed at that moment.

A Monero wallet has a primary address starting with 4 and any number of subaddresses starting with 8, both 95 characters. Use a fresh subaddress for the swap. The order accepts primary addresses, subaddresses and 106-character integrated addresses and checks the format before it is created. Step by step
- Sync your Monero wallet and copy a new subaddress.
- Open BTC → XMR — the widget opens with the pair selected.
- Enter the BTC amount; the widget shows the XMR you get, the minimum and the payout network fee.
- Paste the Monero address, check its first and last characters and create the order.
- Send BTC on-chain (not Lightning) to the deposit address within the one-hour payment window, with a reasonable network fee.
- Track the order page; after the payout, XMR shows up in your wallet and becomes spendable after 10 blocks.
Rate, fees and minimum
The XMR amount in the widget already includes the service fee, provider costs and the Monero payout fee — compare services by that number. You pay only the Bitcoin network fee for your own transaction. The minimum is set by the provider and shown in the widget. As the rate is floating, the final amount can differ slightly from the estimate.
Timing and the 10-block lock
The Bitcoin deposit usually confirms in 10–30 minutes, then XMR is paid out. Received Monero outputs are locked for 10 blocks — about 20 minutes at two-minute blocks — so the wallet shows a locked balance first. That is a protocol rule, not a delay on our side. Privacy and legal notes
Monero hides amounts, senders and receivers on its own chain, but the Bitcoin leg of the swap is public as usual, and the service and provider know the order details. Laws on holding, swapping and taxing crypto differ by country. A standard swap needs no documents, but under our AML policy transactions are risk-scored, extra information may be requested, and the provider can hold a flagged deposit.
