Why you cannot simply send it across
Each network keeps its own ledger of USDT balances. A transfer on TRON changes the TRON ledger only. Wallets usually refuse to send TRON USDT to a 0x address because the formats differ. Between EVM networks the address format is the same, so the mistake is possible: USDT sent on BNB Smart Chain to your own 0x address simply lands on BNB Smart Chain, where you can see it after switching the wallet's network. Step by step
- In the widget choose USDT as the coin you send and pick its current network (for example TRC20).
- Choose USDT as the coin you receive and pick the destination network (for example BEP20). Check the minimum and the amount you will receive.
- Paste an address for the destination network. For BEP20, Solana and ERC20 this is the address your wallet shows for that network; validate the format with the address validator.
- Create the order and send the exact amount from the source network.

Moving back to TRC20
The reverse direction works the same way and is common when an exchange or a P2P counterparty asks for TRON.
