What to know about Centrifuge
Centrifuge builds infrastructure for tokenized funds and onchain asset management. Its ecosystem token CFG must be distinguished from the fund assets that use that infrastructure. There is also a historical distinction inside the ticker itself: the current Ethereum ERC-20 followed a migration from older Centrifuge Chain CFG and WCFG. Old screenshots, saved wallet entries and migration announcements can therefore refer to a different asset from the one requested for an exchange today. Inspect the contract of the spendable token before sending. The project now states that migration is permanently closed. An archived conversion ratio is not evidence that an old balance can still be converted or deposited through this exchange.

Can I send old WCFG to a current CFG deposit?
Compare the actual token contract with the receiving instruction before any transfer. The migration consolidated legacy assets into a new token; the shared project name does not make an old WCFG balance the requested CFG asset.
Is the historical one-to-one migration still available?
Centrifuge’s current token documentation says the migration is permanently closed. Archived instructions describe the former process. This exchange page does not reopen it, provide a recovery service or establish eligibility for a late claim.
Does buying CFG mean I have invested in a Centrifuge fund?
The platform describes infrastructure for launching and managing tokenized funds. The ecosystem token and a particular fund asset should be identified separately. A CFG receipt alone does not demonstrate acquisition of a fund position or its associated rights.
