How to Get USDT on Avalanche C-Chain from TRC20 or BEP20

Move USDT from TRON, BNB Chain or Ethereum to Avalanche C-Chain in one swap: 2.3 USDT minimum, 0.1 USDT payout fee, C-Chain vs X-Chain addresses and AVAX gas.

Five steps of moving USDT to Avalanche C-Chain: pick networks, C-Chain address, send USDT, confirmations, payout.

To get USDT on Avalanche, swap USDT from the network you hold it on (TRC20, BEP20 or ERC20) to USDT on the Avalanche C-Chain. It is one order in the swap widget: you send USDT on the source network and receive the same amount minus fees on your 0x address on Avalanche. On 21 October 2026 the minimum was only 2.3 USDT and the C-Chain payout fee 0.1 USDT, which makes this one of the cheapest network moves the site offers.

C-Chain, not X-Chain

Avalanche's primary network has three chains. The C-Chain is the EVM chain where USDT, USDC and nearly every app live; its addresses look like Ethereum addresses (0xโ€ฆ). The X-Chain handles AVAX transfers with addresses like X-avax1โ€ฆ, and the P-Chain coordinates validators and staking with P-avax1โ€ฆ. USDT is paid out only on the C-Chain, so you need a 0x address.

In Core (the wallet from Ava Labs) the C-Chain address is the one shown as your EVM address. In MetaMask, Rabby or Trust Wallet, add the Avalanche C-Chain network (chain ID 43114) and use your usual 0x address.

Cost of the move

USDT โ†’ USDT (Avalanche C-Chain), provider data 21.10.2026
Send fromDeposit confirmationsMinimumPayout feeโ‰ˆ received on 100 USDT
TRON (TRC20)20 (โ‰ˆ 1 min)2.3 USDT0.1 USDTโ‰ˆ 98.9 USDT
BNB Chain (BEP20)60 (โ‰ˆ 1 min)2.3 USDT0.1 USDTโ‰ˆ 98.9 USDT
Ethereum (ERC20)6 (โ‰ˆ 1.2 min)2.3 USDT0.1 USDTโ‰ˆ 98.9 USDT

The 98.9 figure assumes the 1% float fee; with the fixed rate it is 98.4. On the sending side add your own network cost: TRX energy on TRON (several TRX if you have none staked), a few cents of BNB, or Ethereum gas. That send cost is usually larger than the swap's payout fee.

Native USDT versus USDT.e

Tether issues USDT natively on Avalanche C-Chain. There is also an older bridged token, USDT.e, created by the Avalanche Bridge from Ethereum. They have different contract addresses and are not automatically interchangeable; DEXs trade one for the other. The swap pays out native USDT. If your wallet does not show the balance, add the token by the contract address published on Tether's transparency page rather than by name, because fake tokens with the same name exist on every EVM chain.

Steps

  1. Choose USDT on your current network as the coin to send and USDT on Avalanche C-Chain (AVAXC) as the coin to receive.
  2. Enter the amount โ€” anything from 2.3 USDT at the time of writing.
  3. Paste your 0x address and create the order.
  4. Send USDT on the source network to the deposit address. If it is TRON, the address starts with T; on BNB Chain or Ethereum with 0x.
  5. After the deposit confirmations the payout is sent to Avalanche, where blocks finalise in about two seconds.

You need AVAX to use the USDT

Receiving USDT on the C-Chain costs you nothing, but every transaction you make afterwards pays gas in AVAX. A token transfer on the C-Chain usually costs a fraction of a cent to a few cents. If you have no AVAX at all, swap a few dollars of USDT to AVAX in the same way (USDT to AVAX) and receive it on the same 0x address on the C-Chain.

  • Do not send AVAX to an X-avax1โ€ฆ address if you want to pay C-Chain gas; X-Chain AVAX has to be moved to the C-Chain in Core first.
  • Gas on the C-Chain follows the EIP-1559 model: a base fee that rises and falls with demand plus a small tip.
  • Some apps on Avalanche run their own subnets (L1s) with different gas tokens; USDT on the C-Chain does not appear there automatically.

Why move USDT to Avalanche at all

Usually because an app or a counterparty is there: a lending market, a game, a payroll service, or an exchange account that only credits Avalanche deposits. Avalanche C-Chain fees are low and blocks are final within a couple of seconds, so once the USDT is there, using it is cheap. The swap is simply the shortest path from TRON or BNB Chain, where most people's USDT already lives.

Checking the payout

The order page gives the payout transaction hash. Open it in an Avalanche C-Chain explorer such as Snowtrace or Avascan: the token transfer line should show USDT from the provider's address to yours. If the explorer shows the transfer but your wallet shows zero, the wallet is on the wrong network or has not added the token. Switch to Avalanche C-Chain and import the token by contract address.

If the explorer shows no transfer at all and the order page has no payout hash after ten minutes, the deposit side is the place to look: check your source transaction on Tronscan, BscScan or Etherscan and send the hash to support with the order link.

FAQ

What is the minimum to move USDT to Avalanche?

2.3 USDT from TRC20, BEP20 or ERC20 on 21 October 2026.

Which Avalanche address do I use?

A C-Chain address, which looks like an Ethereum address (0xโ€ฆ). Not X-avax1 or P-avax1.

How much is the payout fee on Avalanche?

0.1 USDT, included in the quote.

Is USDT on Avalanche the same as USDT.e?

No. Native USDT is issued by Tether; USDT.e is an older bridged token with a different contract.

Do I need AVAX to receive USDT?

No, but you need a little AVAX on the C-Chain to send the USDT later.
