Crypto Payment QR Code Generator

Turn a wallet address into a scannable QR code โ€” optionally with an amount, label and message โ€” so the payer's wallet fills everything in automatically. The generator builds standard payment URIs: BIP21 for Bitcoin (and the same style for Litecoin, Dogecoin and Monero), EIP-681 for ETH and ERC-20 tokens like USDT and USDC, and Solana Pay for SOL and USDC on Solana. The address is validated before the QR is shown, and everything happens in your browser.

Generated in your browser; nothing is uploaded. Always scan the QR with your own wallet once before publishing it.

Enter your address to generate the QR code.

How to create a crypto QR code

Choose the coin and format, paste your receiving address and, if you want, add an amount. For Bitcoin, Litecoin, Dogecoin and Solana you can also add a label (your name or shop) and a message (an invoice number, for example). The payment URI appears under the form; copy it as a link or download the QR code as a PNG image for an invoice, a website or a printed sign.

If the address does not pass the format and checksum check for the selected network, a red warning appears. Always scan the finished QR code with your own wallet once to confirm it opens the right address and amount before you share it.

Payment URI formats

Wallets recognise these standard formats when scanning:

BIP21: bitcoin:<address>?amount=0.0015&label=Shop&message=Order%2042 EIP-681: ethereum:<address>@1?value=1500000000000000000 (amount in wei) ERC-20: ethereum:<token>@1/transfer?address=<to>&uint256=10000000 Solana Pay: solana:<address>?amount=0.5&spl-token=<mint>&label=Shop Monero: monero:<address>?tx_amount=0.25

Things to know about each network

  • Bitcoin: BIP21 amounts are in BTC, up to 8 decimals. Labels and messages are percent-encoded and visible to the payer.
  • Ethereum: EIP-681 amounts are integers in the smallest unit (wei for ETH, 6 decimals for USDT/USDC on Ethereum). Wallet support for token transfer URIs varies โ€” test with the wallets your payers use.
  • USDT on TRON: there is no widely supported payment-URI standard, so the QR contains the plain address. Tell the payer the network (TRC-20) and the amount in text.
  • Solana Pay: amounts are in SOL or in token units; the spl-token parameter selects USDC instead of SOL.
  • Monero: wallets support the monero: scheme with tx_amount; a new subaddress per payer keeps payments separable.

Privacy and safety tips

A QR code reveals your address to anyone who sees it. For public pages, consider a separate receiving address rather than your main savings wallet. When sharing a QR code in a chat or on a stream, make sure no one can swap the image โ€” the payer sees only the picture, not the text. On the payer side, wallets show the decoded address before sending; check the first and last characters.

For payment requests in stablecoins, the cheapest network for your payer may not be the default one. The Stablecoin Fee Comparison helps you decide which network to offer, and the Address Validator lets payers double-check a pasted address.

Using crypto QR codes for invoices and shops

For one-off invoices, include the amount and a message with the invoice number, so you can match the incoming payment later. For a shop counter or donation page, leave the amount empty โ€” the payer types it โ€” and use a dedicated receiving address so you can see all incoming payments in one place. Print the QR code at least 3 ร— 3 cm and keep a quiet zone of white space around it; tiny or cropped codes are the main reason scans fail.

Prices in crypto move, so for invoices in dollars it is common to calculate the coin amount right before sending the request and to state how long it is valid. The Satoshi Converter and the Unit Converter help you turn a dollar price into an exact coin amount with the right number of decimals.

Frequently asked questions

+How do I make a QR code for my Bitcoin address?

Select โ€œBitcoin (BTC) โ€” BIP21โ€, paste your address, optionally add an amount and label, then download the PNG. The QR encodes a bitcoin: URI that wallets understand.

+Can I put a USDT amount in the QR code?

Yes for USDT and USDC on Ethereum (EIP-681) and USDC on Solana (Solana Pay). For TRON there is no common standard, so the QR contains only the address.

+Is my address uploaded anywhere?

No. The QR code is generated in your browser and nothing is sent to a server.

+Why does the generator say my address is invalid?

It failed the format or checksum check for the chosen network. Check for a typo or a missing character, or make sure you picked the right network.

+Can one QR code accept several coins?

No. Each payment URI is tied to one network and one address. If you accept several coins, make a separate QR for each and label it with the coin and network, for example โ€œUSDT ยท TRC-20โ€.

+Which QR error correction is used?

Level M (about 15% recovery), a good balance between density and robustness for screens and print.

Calculations run entirely in your browser; nothing you type is sent to KOT.CASH. Results are estimates for information only and are not financial, tax or legal advice.
