Start with where your USDC actually sits
The useful first question is not how many KAS a dollar amount might buy. It is which USDC balance you can actually send. Open the withdrawal or wallet screen and identify its blockchain. Then compare that information with the sending network selected for this exchange. Do not choose a cheaper-looking network while leaving the coins on a different chain.
Circle publishes separate USDC contract addresses for supported blockchains. Use the entry for your actual chain when checking the token. A familiar ticker or dollar logo is not enough to identify a balance. Circle documentation describes its assets; it does not establish which deposits an exchange provider accepts. That second check belongs to the currently available exchange route.
Two addresses with different jobs
| Field | What belongs there | What to compare |
|---|---|---|
| Sending side | The deposit details supplied for the USDC transfer | The asset and sending blockchain, not the KAS wallet |
| Receiving side | Your destination for KAS | The Kaspa receiving instructions of the wallet or destination platform |
| USDC contract reference | The token identifier on the relevant chain | A reference for the token, not an address to fund |
Check the Kaspa destination before calculating the final transfer
- Keep the complete receiving string
- Kaspa mainnet addresses use the kaspa: prefix in the reference implementation. Copy the complete value supplied by your receiving wallet. A matching prefix alone does not prove that an address belongs to you or that a particular platform will credit it.
- Check the destination platform separately
- If another service will receive the KAS, read its current deposit instructions. Do not reuse a USDC deposit address just because both assets appear in the same account. An exchange quote cannot establish the receiving service’s internal crediting conditions.
Compare a usable quote, not an assumed dollar ratio
Enter the amount you intend to send and review the current result for the selected route. A USDC amount is not a fixed entitlement to a particular KAS quantity. Keep the displayed estimate distinct from any amount shown elsewhere in a portfolio. Check the route’s current limits before deciding whether a small transfer is usable.
Before sending, compare the details one more time with the wallet withdrawal screen. If the network, receiving address or amount no longer matches what you reviewed, resolve the mismatch first. Save the exchange reference and the transaction identifier after broadcast so that a later enquiry can identify the actual transfer rather than a screenshot of an earlier estimate.
Questions about receiving Kaspa from a USDC swap
- Can I send a bridged USDC balance just because the ticker says USDC?
- Do not infer acceptance from the ticker. Identify the chain and token, then check the selected route. Circle’s contract list helps identify its USDC; it is not a promise that every similarly named representation is accepted by this exchange.
- Does a kaspa: address guarantee the receiving platform will credit KAS?
- No. The prefix identifies the network family, while ownership and platform deposit conditions require their own checks. Use the receiving instructions of your actual destination and retain the complete address.
