Which number in your wallet is usable?
| Displayed value | What to establish | Why it matters for this direction |
|---|---|---|
| Portfolio value | Which assets make up the displayed total | A combined dollar valuation is not an amount of spendable SOL |
| SOL balance | What the wallet currently allows you to transfer | The exchange is funded by the selected outgoing asset |
| Transaction fee | The fee shown for your actual Solana transfer | Network fees are paid in SOL, separately from the comparison of coin prices |
Resolve the sending side before waiting for KAS
- Select the balance that can actually move
Open SOL in the sending wallet and review its transfer screen. If a displayed position needs a separate withdrawal or conversion before it becomes transferable SOL, that is an earlier operation. Do not assume that the exchange can receive every asset whose name or valuation refers to SOL.
- Review the wallet’s fee together with the amount
Solana documentation specifies transaction fees paid in SOL. Use the fee presented for your intended transaction, rather than copying a historic fee from an article. For a small balance, check whether the amount plus that fee is feasible before relying on a preliminary KAS quote.
- Keep the submitted transfer identifiable
After broadcasting, retain the outgoing transaction reference and the exchange identifier. A wallet notification about signing is not the same evidence as a transaction you can locate on the network. These records help distinguish the actual transfer from a calculation that was never funded.
A fast network is not an end-to-end delivery promise
The Solana transfer, recognition by the exchange route and receipt of KAS are separate parts of the process. A short interval for one network does not fix the duration of all the others. Read the current exchange information instead of turning a network performance claim into a guaranteed countdown for your order.
Kaspa’s integration documentation distinguishes accepted transaction processing and the confirmation buffer used by an observer. Its example settings are not the deposit requirements of your receiving platform. If the KAS is going to another service, use that destination’s own current instructions. Network visibility and internal account credit are different observations, so a transaction appearing in an explorer does not settle every crediting question.
SOL to KAS: balance and progress questions
- Can I calculate the KAS payout from my total portfolio valuation?
- A portfolio total may include several positions and valuation assumptions. Establish the transferable SOL amount first, then request the current route calculation. Keep the sending wallet’s fee and the displayed exchange result distinct instead of subtracting a guessed universal percentage.
- Should I send another SOL payment when KAS has not appeared yet?
- First identify the original transfer and the current exchange status. A second payment is another transaction, not proof that the first one failed. If the situation is unclear, use the exchange reference and outgoing transaction details when asking support to investigate.
