Exchange Bitcoin Cash (BCH) to SOL

The BCH balance and the Solana receiving account need different checks. Identify the correct outgoing coin, then distinguish its transaction evidence from the separate SOL payment.

A Bitcoin-labelled wallet is not enough

Read the asset ticker on the withdrawal screen
This direction spends BCH, not BTC. Review the selected balance rather than relying on the wallet application name or an old address-book entry. The receiving side is SOL, so neither a Bitcoin nor a Bitcoin Cash receiving address belongs in that field.
Do not repair an unfamiliar address by guesswork
CashAddr is the Bitcoin Cash address format described in the linked specification. Its mainnet prefix is bitcoincash:. If a withdrawal form rejects the supplied details, investigate its documented requirements. Deleting characters until validation stops complaining is not a reliable way to establish the intended destination.

Keep the BCH transfer separate from the SOL receipt

There are two different events to identify: your outgoing Bitcoin Cash transfer and the eventual Solana payment. A withdrawal request recorded by the sending platform does not itself show that BCH has been broadcast. Likewise, a BCH transaction identifier does not identify the receiving SOL transaction. Keep the exchange reference so these records can be associated without confusing their chains.

For a transfer from another platform, check what it actually reports: requested, broadcast or completed under its own terminology. Do not infer the exchange’s processing state from an unrelated platform label. If you need help locating a payment, provide the asset and transaction identifier together. A cropped screenshot showing only the amount leaves out the information needed to distinguish similar transfers.

What each address or identifier represents

ItemIts roleA misleading substitute
BCH deposit detailsThe destination for the outgoing Bitcoin Cash paymentA saved BTC address from another transaction
SOL receiving addressThe destination chosen for native SOLA token contract or unrelated program address
BCH transaction identifierEvidence about the outgoing chain transactionThe identifier of a separate Solana payment
Address syntax and transaction evidence answer different questions. They do not establish ownership or platform deposit acceptance by themselves.

Use a receiving instruction, not a random Solana explorer entry

Solana documentation explains that an account address is a base58 representation of a 32-byte value. Accounts can have different roles. Therefore an address copied from a token-information page or program listing is not automatically your SOL receiving destination. Obtain the address from the wallet or platform where you intend to hold the resulting SOL.

Before committing the BCH transfer, review the current quote and applicable route limits. The amount of SOL is not fixed by the fact that both sides are native coins. If the destination is an account on another service, verify its SOL deposit instructions independently. Leave the calculation and the receiving instructions visible long enough to compare them with the selected direction, rather than treating an earlier quote as an unchanged promise.

BCH to SOL questions worth resolving before withdrawal

Can a Bitcoin wallet balance fund the BCH side?
Only the intended BCH balance is relevant to this route. The wallet’s brand or support for several assets does not turn BTC into BCH. Check the asset selection before reviewing the supplied deposit details.
Is a Solana token address the same as my SOL receiving address?
Do not treat those roles as interchangeable. Obtain the destination from your receiving wallet’s SOL instructions. An explorer may show many valid account addresses that are not addresses you control or deposits a platform will credit.
